Lots of storms and flooding this week in the Midwest. But apart from some sheet lighting far to the south last night, this is all I've seen of it.

Denver
The end of another chapter: Sean and I parted at the Denver Airport this morning. But I will see him soon in Halifax! Good adventures :)
Time to head east: 15 minutes to Starbucks, 16hr to Kalamazoo!

Rocky Mountain high
Is it the air up here or is it the view? Who knows! (And who cares!) Sean and I are now making our way through the Colorado Rockies. Brakes squealing in protest, we've landed in Salida for beers and Costa Rica v. Greece.

MESA VERDE
Off the original path and totally worth it. Finished off the cliff dwellings with a 3 mile hike to some petroglyphs and beers in Durango
Grand Canyon North Rim to Cortez
Continuing our saga of life at 7000ft, here are some vistas headed east. Still adjusting to that altitude on hikes: WHEW!
...oh and yes: we saw the famous Four Corners (hello bonus visit to New Mexico!)
So backing up a little...yeah, it was pretty Grand
So a few days ago, Sean and I hit the Grand Canyon. We did a few quick pics between data deadzones but here is a proper post.
On day one we did the north rim and joined the throngs walking the sidewalk, and enjoyed the views, restrooms and icecream sandwiches.
Second day, after the long drive 'round, we hit the Kaibab Trail down the canyon. It was a nice, cloudy day with lots of wind so even though we started late we made it over 4 miles down and back (about 500ft).
Good times. Good times.

On the road again....with Sean!
After a speedy transdesert drive from Santa BB and a comfortable hiatus in Phoenix, Im back on the road, headed north, with Sean. So far? Redlands and Sodoma, Flagstaff and ...oh yes, burgers.
